A hands-on pastel art workshop where we’ll cover the fundamentals of pastels, including how to use them. You’ll learn various blending techniques, including softening edges and creating smooth transitions and how to create depth and dimension in your artwork.
We’ll discuss the unique properties of Pastelmat and UART 600 paper and explore their differences in texture and how they affect blending and layering of pastels.
We will also explore underpainting and when and how to use them.
