I’m an impressionist painter who’s inspired by the raw beauty of the Australian bush and the rhythm of the ocean. Nature is my muse and my canvas is where I capture its movement, light and emotion – celebrating nature’s rhythm and resilience.
I’ve been painting and creating my whole life, but it truly become my sanctuary during a high-pressure career in education where I was an educational leader for many years. I love to blend both the bush and the beach in my works, spending far too much time in my own little studio where the ocean can be seen from my windows along with the bush on the mountains behind my house.
I love experimenting with different materials and mediums, always chasing new textures and stories. Art for me, is about freedom, curiosity and connection.
I am often at local markets where I’m able to meet those who purchase works, have a chat to people and talk about the inspiration behind the works. I find people are always keen to meet the artist who does the work – loving to purchase from an artist, rather than buy something that’s mass produced without any soul.
