The May 2022 monthly themed exhibition is Abstractions.

Please come and view the exhibition from May 13, 2022 through Jun 9, 2022 at Hervey Bay Art Society’s “Gallery 5” Art Gallery, at 5 Sandy St Urangan. Gallery 5 is open daily and entry is free.

This exhibition is in addition to a rotating collection of other art exhibitions always on display. All these exhibitions feature well priced pieces that would make great acquisitions or gifts.

The next monthly members competition is Our Fraser Coast which will be held from Jun 10, 2022 through Jul 7, 2022.

Results

Results were announced at awards presentation on Friday May 20, 2022 at noon in the foyer of Gallery 5. The judges for this competition were Lynn Munn and Mark Brose.

At the awards presentation was our Hervey Bay member of parliament Adrian Tantari. This was at the tail end of a visit he made to our gallery and to the Art Society. He gave a short speech at the presentation and we thank him for making time in his busy schedule to visit and for his kind words and the interest he showed while here.

Key Dates

Delivery of Paintings: Friday May 13, 2022 between 9:00 am and 10:30 am. Entry fee is $5.00 per painting entered.

Presentation & BBQ: Friday May 20, 2022 12:00 noon. Presentation is held at 12 noon in main Gallery 5 reception area and is followed by a BBQ in the back courtyard of Gallery 5.

Exhibition of Paintings: From Friday May 13, 2022 (afternoon) through Thursday Jun 9, 2022.

Collection of Paintings: Friday Jun 10, 2022 between 9:00 am and 10:30 am.
