The Jan 2022 monthly themed exhibition is Aussie Critters.

Please come and view the exhibition from Jan 14, 2022 through Feb 10, 2022 at Hervey Bay Art Society’s “Gallery 5” Art Gallery, at 5 Sandy St Urangan. Gallery 5 is open daily and entry is free.

This exhibition is in addition to a rotating collection of other art exhibitions always on display. All these exhibitions feature well priced pieces that would make great acquisitions or gifts.

The next monthly members competition is Skies Above which will be held from Feb 11, 2022 through Mar 10, 2022.

Results

Results were announced by vice-president Rolf Sieber at the awards presentation on Friday Nov 21, 2022 at noon in the foyer of Gallery 5. The judges for this competition were Violetta Sandry and Kaye Higginson.

Congratulations goes to all the winners. Conducting the presentation vice-president Rolf Sieber noted that there was a very high standard of entries this month and the judging resulted in only a handful of points separating first place from commended.

Key Dates

Delivery of Paintings: Friday Jan 14, 2022 between 9:00 am and 10:30 am. Entry fee is $5.00 per painting entered.

Presentation: Friday Jan 21, 2022 12:00 noon. Presentation of awards is held at 12 noon in main Gallery 5 reception area. The BBQ that is normally held in the back courtyard of Gallery 5, directly after the presentations, is cancelled this competition because of current covid restrictions/concerns.

Collection of Paintings: Friday Feb 11, 2022 between 9:00 am and 10:30 am.
