I am a Tonal Realist Painter, painting in oils and pastels.

I learnt this method 40 years ago, attending a Tonal painting school one morning a week, for 4 years. The teachers were inspirational in imparting how to paint from life. Whether you choose to paint Still Life, Landscapes, Flowers or Portrait subjects, this same technique applies to each.

I have won over 25 Commendations at Local and Metropolitan Art Exhibitions.

A special highlight in my painting life was when in 2001 The Australian Artist Magazine published an article on my painting techniques.

More than anything, painting for me is fun. You meet a lot of like minded artists along the way. We all develop our own style, and that’s why belonging to an Artist society is beneficial.
