Paul Barnes Artist Profile
Migrating from the UK to Australia in 1969 Paul has worked variously as: a retail manager, technical illustrator, graphic designer, advertising designer, vehicle concept artist and foundation studies convenor at Queensland College of Art, Griffith University.
Paul has exhibited his artwork with the QCA Alumni, Doggett Street Studio in Brisbane, Shandong College of Arts (P.R.China) and Hanoi Institute of Fine Art (P.R.Vietnam), Hervey Bay Regional Gallery, Hervey Bay Art Society, Hervey Bay Community Centre, Maryborough Art Society, Gayndah Art Gallery, Hervey Bay’s Harbour Gift Gallery and at other local business outlets.
Paul’s artwork has been procured by the Australian Commonwealth Art-Bank, by the Fraser Coast Council, several local businesses, as well as many Australian and overseas collectors.
He is now retired and living in Hervey Bay where he is an active member of the community. Paul is a member of the Hervey Bay Art Society where he has tutored and exhibits his work and has won numerous awards. Paul is a member of the Fraser Coast Art Collective.
Paul’s passion as an artist ranges across a wide range of media and subject matter. His artistic interests range from the amazing diversity of subject matter to be found along the Australian coastline to the urban and country landscapes. He enjoys great satisfaction from the generous feedback from his many happy clients and art collectors.
Paul accepts commissions in Oils, Acrylics, Watercolours, Pastels & Mixed Media.
